Venison Green Chile Stew

Why is big game hunting allowed in New Mexico?  Because it helps control the animal population and prevent crop damage on the many family owned farms in New Mexico.   So what do you do with the elk, deer, antelope or oryx when you kill?  Make a great dinner of course.  Here is a great recipe for Venison Green Chile Stew.

Ingredients:

1 pound of Ground Deer Meat
2 cups of Beef Stock
1 cup of Chopped Onion
1 large Potato cubed
1 teaspoon of Cumin
1 teaspoon of Celery Salt
Green Chile to taste

Cooking Directions:

Brown Venison and place in a pot. Add Beef stock, Onion, Potato, Cumin, Celery Salt and Green Chile to pot and cook for 1 hour.
